Remixes
This is a remix by ethnomusicology professor and producer Manuela Boncheva of our recording of Ferqa Ahwach Agdz’s "Yallah Yallah Yannirda Woulli."
Our collaboration with Manuela can be traced back to 2015, when she discovered our work at Visa for Music in Rabat, Morocco. This inspired her to later download and remix the samples we've created from our recordings with Ferqa Ahwach Agdz, and partner with us to release this fair trade remix, which splits net proceeds evenly between all co-creators (Ferqa Ahwach Agdz, Manuela Boncheva, and Remix ⟷ Culture).
For just $1 you can get your hypnotic groove on and invest in a new fair trade ecosystem.

About Manuela Boncheva
Manuela Boncheva is a scholar and teacher in the fields of applied ethnomusicology and world music. Her practical work with students in this field provoked her to start making electronic music. The synthesis of overt and latent Afro and Oriental elements in the amalgam of influences from minimal and industrial techno set the parameters of an extremely eclectic electronic music aesthetic.
Manuela has previously released two 5-track albums in 2020 with the Spanish label Unsupportable Recordings, and is working on an upcoming live release.
