The original track “Sanctuary” and its accompanying reworks take the virtuosic guembri-playing and vocals from Mourad Belouadi’s “Mawama” and warp it into 3 different distinctive house tracks for your auditory pleasure.
Yamil’s “La Flor Colorada EP”, released by Sol Selectas in November 2023, collaborates with producers Angelos and Derun to offer a rich collection of deep house, afro house, and organic house tracks only previously heard in Yamil’s live sets.
With free access to the audio samples, video stems, and complete Ableton sessions included in Mourad’s release, Yamil, Angelos, and Derun were able to create their own remixes using our fair trade model. They’ve also ensured that all proceeds from ‘Sanctuary’ are split equally between all artists involved, helping contribute to our vision of a world based on mutual respect and artists invested in each other’s success.
