Shows
On Feb 21st, 2014 remix ←→ culture premiered a new breed of concerts. We brought the remixed and the remixer together in a cultural call and response, with slammin’ beats.
People came and danced to the festive drums of Romani folk songs, performed live by Galbeno Balkan Band, a 5-piece ensemble of some of the Bay Area's most spectacular musicians Dusan Ristic, Helena Milosevic, Dan Cantrell, Marco Peris, and Juliana Frick. In between the folk songs, the audience marveled at music video remixes of those very same folk songs performed live by talented Bay Area remix artists Dov, Palindrome, SBVRSV, and Dream Shovel.
